Superior Police Department

  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

Nov. 17

  A hit and run accident was reported on U.S. Hwy. 60.

Nov. 18

  An accident without injuries occurred in the area of U.S. Hwy. 60 and Hwy. 177.

  Theft was reported in the 900 block of Church Ave.

Nov. 19

  A missing person was reported in the 400 block of Valentine St.

Nov. 21

  A missing person was reported in the 400 block of Valentine St.

Nov. 24

  An accident without injuries was reported in the 800 block of Wilhoyt St.

Nov. 25

  An accident without injuries was reported in the 100 block of Gray Dr.

  Burglary was reported in the 100 block of Lobb Ave.

  Burglary was reported in the 700 block of Church Ave.

Nov. 26

  Robert C. Ochoa, 53, Superior, was arrested in the 600 block of Main St. and was charged with stalking, aggravated harassment/domestic violence (DV), aggravated DV and interfering with judicial proceedings. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

  Christopher P. Armitage, 30, Superior, was arrested in the 400 block of Porphyry St. on two warrants issued out of Pinal County. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Melissa M. Carrillo, 42, Superior, was arrested in the 200 block of Lobb Ave. and was charged with theft. She was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

Nov. 27

  Violation of a court order was reported in the 600 block of Main St.

Nov. 28

  Violation of a court order was reported in the 600 block of Main St.

Nov. 29

  A missing person was reported in the 200 block of High Dr.

  Zachary R. Cartier, Superior, was arrested in the 900 block of Main St. and was charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs (DUI), DUI impaired to the slightest, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also arrested on a warrant issued out of Yavapai County. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

  Calls not listed include traffic stop (19), disturbance (7), information (7), civil matter (1), alarm drop (4), agency assist (12), fire (1), field interview/follow-up (3), harassment (2), trespassing (1), fraud (1), attempt to locate (1), suspicious activity (3), welfare check (8), abandoned vehicle (1), medical (2), citizen assist (2), road hazard (1), 911 hang-up/open line (2) and animal complaint (9).
