In its first game in three weeks, the No. 15-ranked Superior boys’ basketball team looked like it
hadn’t played in nearly a month during a lopsided 68 – 33 loss at home to Miami on Jan. 5.
Cedric Mendoza, a junior, led the Panthers with 13 points, shooting 6-of-6 from the field. Jared Moreno added six points, making both of his three-point attempts.
Sam Lopez and Matthew Perez led the Panthers with four rebounds apiece,
To be fair, the Panthers were not at full strength against the Vandals, as junior Steven Ybarra
did not play in the game.
Up next: Jan. 16 vs Fort Thomas, 7 p.m.
