It really is a learning experience to be a member of the online social site “Facebook”, in which people can post their thoughts about so many things, including politics, which can lead to dissension, even among family members. I admit that I am one who probably shouldn’t have stated some of my political thoughts, one being that if our president-elect did us harm, those who voted for him were as guilty. One Facebook Friend , who I had enjoyed, “blocked” me after that post. I also admit that I was guilty about fixing it so that I wouldn’t receive comments from a few people.
On the pleasant side, I think it is great that there are many Facebook Groups that a member can belong to. Being that I had been born and raised in Hayden, Arizona (long ago!), I enjoy the group called Growing Up In Hayden/Winkelman because of the comments made by those who share the memories of those two towns, their surrounding areas, and their people. Among the other Facebook Groups enjoyed is the Dudleyville/Aravaipa Group; Growing up In Globe: Ray, Sonora, and Kearny Memories; and Memories and Photos in Arizona. The photos posted are so interesting, and bring back so many memories. That, and making more Facebook Friends, is the best part of being on Facebook.
