Emergency responders at the Superior Fire Department commissioned a new ambulance last week. This is the newest emergency services vehicle to be added to the Town of Superior’s fleet. Last year, three new police vehicles were purchased as part of Resolution Copper’s five-year Emergency Services Agreement with the Town of Superior.

As part of the agreement, Resolution Copper provides funding and support for police and fire equipment, and operations to serve residents in the Town of Superior and personnel working at the Resolution Copper Project.

“The public counts on our dedicated EMTs to provide medical aid every day,” said Superior Mayor Mila Besich-Lira. “This new ambulance enables us to continue to provide the best care to those we so proudly serve.”

“We are proud of this agreement with Resolution Copper because it demonstrates a unique partnership between the town and business sector,” said Superior Vice Mayor Michael Alonzo. “This agreement will provide a boost to our ability to provide critical emergency services to our residents and Resolution.”

“Safety is our first priority,” said Andrew Lye, Managing Director, Resolution Copper. “Our focus on safety extends beyond our operation, which is why this agreement is so important. It is a demonstration of our commitment to supporting emergency, medical and fire personnel with resources to help provide the community with exceptional safety services.”
