Superior Police Report – June 14, 2017

  According to state law, police may arrest suspected offenders by two methods. The suspect may be physically taken into the department and booked into jail, or the arresting officer may write a citation and release the suspect to appear in court later. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Only criminal citations are listed. All damage amounts are estimates.

  Items are given to The Superior Sun by the Superior Police Department and reflect information available at the time the report is compiled.

  Activity listed from June 1-7.

June 2

  Burglary was reported in the 1100 block of Stone Ave.

  Theft was reported in the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 60.

June 3

  Andrew T. Guerrero, 47, Superior, was arrested in the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 60 and was charged with obstructing a highway. He was cited and released.

  Gregory A. Broetzmann, 46, Superior, was arrested in the 300 block of Palo Verde Dr. and was charged with disorderly conduct/DV (domestic violence). He was cited and released.

  Andrew T. Guerrero, 47, Superior, was arrested in the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 60 and was charged with obstructing a highway. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence.

  Mark C. Bracamonte, 24, Superior, was arrested in the area of Stone Ave. and Hill St. and was charged with possession of narcotic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription drugs, driving on a suspended license and possession of a suspended license. He was also arrested on a felony probation violation warrant issued out of the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

June 4

  Ryan Guerrero, 18, Salome, was arrested in the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.

June 5

  Joseph M. Macias, 21, Superior, was arrested in the area of Sonora St. and Church Ave. and was charged with unlawful flight. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

June 6

  Daniel R. Alvarado, 51, Superior, was arrested in the 200 block of Stansberry Ave. and was charged with resisting arrest, stalking, obstructing governmental operations, harassment and criminal trespassing. He was transported and booked into the Pinal County Jail.

June 7

  Theft was reported in the 1100 block of U.S. Hwy. 60.

  Keana C. Torres, 19, Superior, was arrested in the area of Hwy. 177 and U.S. Hwy. 60 and was charged with driving on a suspended license. She was cited and released.

  Calls not listed include traffic stop (28), disturbance (1), agency assist (5), alarm drop (3), information (4), medical (1), animal complaint (3), field interview (1), citizen assist (2), trespassing (2), 911 hang-up (1), attempt to locate (3), welfare check (2), civil matter (2), suspicious activity (4), emergency message (1) and threatening/harassment (1).

  Superior Police want to remind drivers to obey all the speed limits in the construction zone on U.S. Hwy. 60. ADOT is paying the Superior Police to do extra patrol in the construction zones to enforce speed limits during working hours. Fines are double in the construction zone while workers are present.

The Superior Police and Fire Departments have contracted all dispatch services to the Pinal County Sheriff (POLICE) and Florence PD (FIRE). As a result of these changes, you need to know some new phone numbers.
