John Moreno and Mural Artist Mike Alvarez

The old Payer Chevrolet store has been given a facelift. A new mural hangs over the front of the building depicting an orange 54 Chevy truck and the American flag.  A mural painted in tribute to the old store by Mike Alvarez. Mike owns a 54 Chevy that came from the Payer Chevrolet. The original color of his truck is the same bright orange color he used to paint the truck in the mural. This is Mike’s first time painting a mural. He has been drawing these types of trucks since he was in elementary school, but he has never tried to paint before. His status as artist is now official with the completion of this mural. The mural is part of the Chamber of Commerce’s on going beautification project.
