On Saturday night before a small but enthusiastic crowd, a group of talented performers took the stage at the Hayden High School Auditorium and entertained with an eclectic selection of country, rock, Mexican and Christmas music.

Luciano “Lucky” Romero hosted the fourth annual Fall Community Concert which opened with Danny Fessenden belting out Bryan Adams’ classic “Summer of 69”.

In addition to his emcee job for the night, Lucky also performed solo and with other performers. He and Johnny Angel performed “Mack the Knife” complete with matching fedoras and he performed Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” with Kimo Trevino and Cameron Breck (the three harmonizing wonderfully).

The concert featured two live bands, Fathers and Sons and The Fridge. Fathers and Sons, joined by Danny Fessenden, performed a tribute song to the Eagles and then did several Mexican classics. The lead singer’s voice was quite amazing.  The Fridge got the audience up out of their seats with their heavy metal stylings.

Another amazing duet came from Trifecta (Beverly) and Kimo, who performed Meghan Trainor’s “Like I’m Going to Lose You” (simply wonderful).

Maria Avenetti covered The Band Perry’s “Better Dig Two” very enthusiastically.

Other performers included Anissa Arzaga, Carissa Henricksen, Johnny Silva, Josh Godoy and Martina Burnam.

The event was produced by Martina and Johnny Silva and music sound was provided by Island Brothers’ Sweet Sound Entertainment. The concert is an annual fundraiser for the Copper Community Action Board, whose board of directors and members include Johnny Silva (president), Martina (vice president), Leysa Rought (treasurer), Gloria Ruiz (secretary), Fred Ruiz (member) and Veronica Bracamonte (member). The group is looking for additional members. To join, email them at coppercommunityactionboard@yahoo.com, visit their website or find them on Facebook at Copper Community Action Board.
