Hayden-Winkelman Schools
School starts Monday, Aug. 8.
New students must register by appointment: please call the office at 520-356-7876 (K-8 ext. 2202) (9-12 ext 1300). You will need birth certificate, immunizations, proof of residency, and transcript to register.
Returning Students: ALL K-12 Students will register Monday, July 25, and Tuesday, July 26 from 1-6 p.m. at the district lobby. Please bring proof of residency.
Please contact the school regarding participation fees for all grades.
Dress Code: Remember the School Dress Code when purchasing your child’s school clothes. Please refer to student handbook. Any questions call 520-356-7876 ext. 1300 or 2202.
Athletes: Physical forms are available in the district office and K-8 office. ALL physicals and paperwork must be turned in to Mrs. Lydia Martinez BEFORE you can participate in practice. Any questions call 520-356-7876 ext. 1306.
Preschool: Preschool CHILDFIND (round-up) will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9. in Preschool room #305 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m.
MANDATORY Preschool Parent Orientation will be held Thursday, Aug.11, at 8:30 a.m. in Preschool room #305. FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL IS MONDAY, AUG. 15, 2016.
Ray Junior-Senior High School
School starts Wednesday, Aug. 10.
New students must register by appointment: please call the HS Guidance Office at 363-5513 (ext. 304) or the JH Guidance Office: 363-5513 (ext. 302). Leave a message with your name and phone number.
Returning Students – Register at the following times: Jr. High seventh and eighth: Tuesday, Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to noon; High School Juniors/Seniors: Wed., Aug. 3, 9 a.m. to noon and Freshmen/Sophs: Thurs., Aug. 4, 9 a.m. to noon
Fees: Jr. High Activity Fee $5; Sr. High Activity Fee $10 (*ALL fees, fines, textbook/library books returns/fines to be paid at registration).

Closed Campus Plan will be in effect the first day of school. Permission slips are available in the office for students eligible to leave campus for lunchtime.
RJHS/RHS Bookstore opens Wednesday, Aug. 10. Check out the school supplies and PE shorts and shirts.
Attention RJHS/RHS Athletes: Remember to get your physicals/athletic agreement/insurance info/concussion certificate turned in at the AD or HS Office ASAP. ALL physicals and paperwork must be turned in to the Athletic Director BEFORE you can participate in practice. Physical Forms/Athletic Agreements can be picked up at the HS Office. Concussion training: www.aiaonline.org – go to AIA Academy – go to Brainbook (read, test, print and sign certificate for the AD).
Ray Schools has implemented participation fees for all sports. The total cost depends on the number of sports per family and ranges from $60 for one sport to $300 for 10 or more sports. Participation payments may count toward your Extra Curricular Activity Tax Credit. The State of Arizona allows families to claim up to $400 per year in educational tax credit when filing as a joint married couple or up to $200 when filing as an individual. The participation fee CAN count as an Arizona State income tax credit if you choose. The fee can be deducted from the state tax income owed to the State of Arizona. The fee must be specified as a tax credit donation if you wish to use it as such.
Participation payments must be made payable to the Ray Junior-Senior High School Bookstore by the following dates:
• Fall Sports (Football, Volleyball): Deadline is Aug. 25, 2016.
• Winter Sports (Basketball): Deadline is Nov. 17, 2016.
• Spring Sports (Softball, Baseball, Track): Deadline is Feb. 16, 2017.
Make checks payable to the Ray Junior-Senior Bookstore. Please submit payment with your completed tax credit form.
