Superior Little League to host two Arizona District 4 tournaments

End of the season trophies and medals presented.

  Superior Little League kicked off the 2016 All-Star Season on Monday, June 6, with the regular season closing ceremonies and all-star team announcements.  Four All-Star teams will be participating in this year’s District 4 Tournaments.

  The Major Softball Team will start their tournament on Thursday, June 23, at 7 p.m. against Maricopa at Kenilworth Sports Complex in Coolidge.  The team consists of Aaliyah Hernandez, Analise Hollenbeck, Aliyah Ramirez, Elianna Villalobos, Danika Bryant, Mira Estatico, Chiara Marquez, Juliana Navarro, Aubryana Preciado, Krista Fritz, Alisha Garcia, Jordan Lopez and Alianna Lopez.  Coaches are Ramon Navarro, Irene Navarro and Joseph Lopez.

  The Minor Baseball Team will start their tournament on Friday, June 24, at 6:30 p.m. against Maricopa at Copper Sky Recreation Facility in Maricopa.  The team consists of Jeremiah Cordero, Joel Romero, Anthony Arroyos, Paul Hernandez, Antonio Lopez, Anthony Davis, David Drennan, Zach Duarte, Isaiah Pacheco, Jared Toner, Omari Wheeler, Anthony Cardenas and Jason Looper.  Coaches are Tommy Lopez, Robert Sommer and Richard Toner.

  The Senior Softball Tournament is being hosted by Superior Little League from June 27-30 with games being at 6 and 8 p.m.  The Senior Softball Team’s first game is on Monday, June 27, at 8 p.m. against Casa Grande.   The team consists of DeAndrian Bogenschutz, McKenna Duarte, Julissa Garcia, Marlee Estatico, Amber Alonzo, Anisah Cardenas, Casandra Drennan, Marisa Estatico, Victoria Juarez, Sivanna Lopez, Alicia Arriola, Naomi-Bo Hing and Yuvithzia Romero.  Coaches are Martin Navarrette, Sonia Estatico and Michael Alonzo.

  The Major Baseball Tournament is being hosted by Superior Little League from July 5-11 with games being at 6 and 8 p.m.  The Major Baseball Team’s first game is on Monday, July 5, at 6 p.m. against Maricopa.  The team consists of Kevin Duarte, Marcos Galindo, Jarek Hughes, Adam Lopez, Mathew Cruz, Daniel Delgado, Gabriel Denogean, Matthew Diaz-Gonzalez, Richard Drennan, Nathan Duarte, Christopher Granillo and Joshua Marquez.  Coaches are Nathan Duarte, Janeen Duarte and Ruben Delgado.

  Tournament volunteers for Concession workers, Umpires, Scorekeepers, Announcers, Field Prep and Clean-up Crews will be needed.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Virginia Alonzo at 480-215-9144 or Martin Navarrette at 928-701-7451.
