Don’t miss your chance to vote.

On Aug. 30, the voters of Kearny will have several choices when they cast their ballot for Mayor and the two open council seats.  Mayor Sam Hosler is seeking re-election to his seat as Mayor.  Local residents Bobby Brisbin and former Kearny Mayor Debra Sommers are running against Hosler for the top seat in town government.  The seat is a two-year term.

Councilmembers Sheila Stephenson will seek re-election to her seat on the council and David Herrera will also seek election to his seat.  He was appointed by the council to fulfill the term of Neil Gambel.  Also seeking election to these two open council seats are Samantha Misita and Rose Bradford.  Bradford has previously served on the council as Mayor.

Copper Area News – Copper Basin News will continue to provide coverage of the upcoming election.  Full candidate profiles will be included in an upcoming edition.
