Children Reading Book At Home

  Readers of all ages will explore all things sports and fitness this summer as Superior Public Library presents “On Your Mark, Get Set….READ” during their summer library program.

  Children may come in and sign up for our READING MARATHON. At the time of registration they may choose to participate in one of the following runs:

FUN RUN = 400 minutes read

5 K RUN = 500 minutes read

MARATHON = 600 minutes read

IRON MAN = 1000 minutes read

  They will be given a reading log to record minutes and number of books checked out and read. After they complete their goal they return their log and will be eligible for a prize. At our final party we will draw names for a grand prize give-a-way.

  Each Wednesday we will have a Story Hour for kids Preschool and Kindergarten from 10-11 a.m.

  We will have Activity Day for Grades 1 – 6 on Wednesdays from 2-3 p.m. Activities may include group games, physical challenges, art and crafts projects, and more. Children are encouraged to check out books from the library throughout their break from school!

  Registration begins May 31 to June 9. Parents/Guardians must come in to the library to register their child. Library Hours are Monday to Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. Program begins June 15 and ends July 6.

  For more information, call the library at: 520-689-2327 or visit us at 99 Kellner Ave., Superior, AZ 85173.
