The fifth-ranked San Manuel softball team finished as the runner-up of the Tom Armour Classic Softball Tournament, which took place last weekend at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy.
The Lady Miners won consecutive games against Desert Christian, Payson, and Pusch Ridge to reach the championship game, where they took on Division II Mountain View.
San Manuel took an early lead with a run in the second inning before Mountain View scored two in the third and three more in the fifth.
Upcoming schedule: Apr. 20 vs. Amphitheater, Apr. 22 at Pusch Ridge, and Apr. 26 vs. Tanque Verde. All games are scheduled for 4 p.m.
