The Ray baseball team is ranked sixth in the most recent rankings that were released earlier this week.

After a lopsided loss against American Leadership Academy last Tuesday, the Bearcats closed out the week with consecutive wins versus San Manuel and Hayden last Thursday and Friday, respectively.

Noah Warren had two hits and four RBI in the Cats’ 19 – 6 win against rival Hayden. One of the junior’s two hits was a triple, which was one of three Cats’ extra-base hits in the game.

Jaden Pace, a freshman, was 4-for-4 with two RBI. Fabian Valenzuela was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Austin Huffman, Anthony Lopez, and Brett Fackiner each recorded multi-hit games in the Cats’ 11th win of the season.

Fackiner, the pitcher of record, and Warren combined to pitch five innings. Warren tossed two scoreless innings in relief, allowing only a hit with four strikeouts in the short outing.

Upcoming schedule:  Apr. 5 at Mogollon and Apr. 8 vs. Duncan. Both games are scheduled for 4 p.m.
