Central Arizona College’s Aravaipa Campus

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Central Arizona College’s Aravaipa Campus will host the final speaker for this spring’s series on Mon., April 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Community Room, E102 (80440 E. Aravaipa Rd., Winkelman, AZ). The event is free and open to the public.

   The April 25th event will feature Dr. Margaret E.K, Evans, Assistant Research Professor of Forest Ecology at the University of Arizona’s Laboratory of Tree Ring Research. Dr. Evans specializes in conservation and evolutionary biology.

  The University of Arizona’s Laboratory Tree Ring Research was established in 1937 by A.E. Douglass, founder of dendrochronology. Today the Tree-Ring Lab is world-renowned center for using dendrochronology in the study of environmental and social sciences, including the study of drought, paleoecology, archaeology, climate change, insects and more.

   The Spring Speaker Series is supported generously by the SaddleBrooke Community Outreach, Education Committee.
