Protecting the plants at the U.S. 60/Main St. entrance

Volunteers work to remove the plants at the entrance to Superior. Construction crews will begin working in the area as U.S. 60 is expanded through Superior.

With just a few hours notice, Chamber of Commerce volunteers Jon and David Moreno, Pete Casillas and Jimmy Alvarado scramble to remove the signs and all of the plants at the “Y” so that a drain pipe can be installed. The plants will be maintained until the completion of the US Hwy. 60 widening, which is nearing Superior’s business district.
