Guess who’s heading to Vegas?

On Saturday, the Arizona Elks hosted the State Hoop Shoot contest in Apache Junction.  Four district winners from Kearny competed in their age groups.  Kearny Elks is proud to announce it had two fourth place winners, one second place winner and in the 8 and 9 year old boys it had a first place champion, Deondre Collier.  Deondre  will now advance to the Regional contest to be held in Las Vegas on Feb. 27 where he will complete against winners from Utah, California/Hawaii and Nevada.  All first place winners from Arizona will be bused to Las Vegas on Friday, Feb. 26, on the Arizona Elks ‘Junk Food Express.’  Congratulations to Deondre.
