San Manuel, Arizona The Yellow Jackets rushed for nearly 400 yards during last Friday’s game against the Miners, including seven rushing touchdowns in a 49 – 21 victory at San Manuel.
Tombstone senior running back Christian Wilridge did the most damage, rushing for 240 yards and four touchdowns versus the Miners.
The Miners trailed 14 – 0 at the end of the first quarter and 21 – 7 at halftime. The Miners were able to score in each quarter after the scoreless first, but they couldn’t keep pace on the field nor the scoreboard with Yellow Jackets.
The Miners host top-ranked and undefeated Benson this Friday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
