San Manuel Miner
After a second quarter comeback pulled the San Manuel football team within one score at halftime in last Friday’s season opener versus Miami, the Miners were outscored 21 – 0 in second half of a 41 – 14 loss to the Vandals.
San Manuel finally started its season after watching some teams across the state play at least two games in previous weeks.
Miami jumped out to a 14 – 0 first quarter lead before the Miners’ offense put up 14 points in the second quarter.
A scoreless third quarters was followed by a dominant fourth quarter by the Vandals, who scored 21 unanswered points.
San Manuel will play its first road game of the season this week at Antelope.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
