Being properly trained in CPR can help saves lives. The Town of Queen Creek Recreation Division will be offering two upcoming CPR classes during September to help keep residents safe. On Monday, Sept. 21, a community level CPR class will be held, and on Tuesday, Sept. 22 a healthcare provider CPR class will be offered. Both classes will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Queen Creek Library, 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, for a fee of $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
The community CPR class is designed for any community member, 12 years old and up, who has a desire to receive CPR certification in the event of an emergency. The healthcare class is designed for professionals needing certification or re-certification and is recognized by state and national organizations. Both certifications are valid for two years. Classes will be taught by Mark LaClair, a retired firefighter with the Swanzey Fire Department in New Hampshire. LaClair is an EMT and certified trainer through the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI).
