The San Manuel Volunteer Fire Department led the annual Halloween parade. The community looks forward to such events. It’s nice to see everyone getting together dressed up and enjoying all the sights. The parade was well attended and successful. It’s the volunteers of the community and their time they give that make these events possible.

Children of all ages dressed up and the judges had a difficult time deciding the winners but finally came to the conclusion of these winning contestants: for Kinder and under first place was Mia Bravo as Queen of Hearts, second place was Annie Nieman as the Punken, third place went to Dario Estrada as Monster Ink; first through third graders, first place was Isacc Halbert, second place was Abigail Valdez, third place was Mikala Hirojos; fourth through sixth graders, first place was Riley Gillis, second place was Eric Valasquez and third was Tyson Hogan; the best family went to the David Family for the Zombie Family where the father followed on a motorcycle, second place for best family was the Valenzuela Family with Frankenstein baby and dad.

Everyone seemed to have a good time as laughs and smiles filled the air. There were some terrific and creative costumes. Thank you all who help make these events possible.

The youth are currently participating in Flag Football and Cheerleading/Pep Squad. Look for the Polar Plunge in December. Information will be coming out soon. If you have specific questions or need additional information, please refer to MSM Community Schools Facebook page at: MSMCommunitySchools.
