The Ray football team ended its regular season with a road win last Friday night, defeating Arête Prep, 62 – 14. The victory over the Chargers snapped a two-game losing streak.

The Bearcats finished in second place in Section IV, one game behind Sectional Champion and fourth-ranked, Gilbert Christian.

The Bearcats, who finished the regular season with a record of 5 – 3, are ranked sixth in the final AIA rankings and will host the 11th-ranked Salome Frogs on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in a first-round playoff game.

With a win versus the Frogs, the ‘Cats will travel to Pima to take on the third-ranked Roughriders on November 1.

Saturday’s game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
