The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Winkelman Adobe Wall Park located at the corner of Highway 77 and Highway 177. The Winkelman Ore Cart is a public art piece is a segment of the CCEDC’s Ore Cart Trail project. Dignitaries from around the region and ADOT will be in attendance at Saturday’s ceremony.

The Ore Cart Trail project began when the Town of Mammoth installed a public art piece using an ore cart, leaders at the CCEDC saw an opportunity to create a series of public art pieces using ore carts. Each community in the copper corridor has chosen an ore cart to be constructed. Each ore cart will entice visitors to visit each community and see the unique public art pieces that both preserve and promote the mining history of the Copper Corridor.
