Orville Hayes
Orville William Hayes Jr., age 78, passed away on Sept. 9, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his little grandson, Michael David Hayes; his beloved daughter, Cheryl; and his second wife, Sadie, whom he now rejoins in peace.
Orville is survived by his first wife, Cheryl; his children, Donna, Orville, Sandra, Raymond, Gary and Angie; and his adopted son, Tyler. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and a great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren.
A devoted father and family man, Orville loved deeply and lived fully. He had a passion for racing, a heart for helping others, and a deep and abiding faith. He loved reading his Bible, attending church, and praying to the Lord.
Orville also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—camping, fishing, and collecting scrap metal. His generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand touched many lives.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Family Life Christian Center, 56 N. Kellner Ave., Superior, AZ. A benefit dinner will follow at Los Hermanos Ballroom to support the Superior Food Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the event. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Orville’s life.
