There is another story to be told besides the recent cut and paste, sanitized infomercial about the RedhawkOpen House.

The story: a Tribal Community, various conservation groups and an increasing number of residents in the Lower San Pedro Watershed continue to vigorously oppose the activities of Redhawk and the Bureau of LandManagement on moral, ethical and legal grounds.

The groups want to protect the health and sustainability of our communities and requires them to demand that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Redhawk betransparent and fulfill their legal obligations regarding the Lower San Pedro Watershed.

I oppose Redhawk’s exploration activities and proposed mining plan.

I do support the need for mineral extraction, however, there is a right place and wrong place to extractminerals. In addition, there is a right way and wrong way to extract minerals.

The incredibly precious and threatened Lower San Pedro Watershed with its unique habitat and richbiodiversity is the wrong place and Redhawk with BLM’s support is the wrong way to extract minerals.

The health and sustainability of our communities and neighbors should not be subordinate to money and dubious investment schemes.

Please join your neighbors, a local Tribal Community and various conservation groups to protect this incredible place in which we live.
