Nancy Barriga Abril

  Nancy Barriga Abril was born on Dec. 17, 1957, in San Manuel and passed away peacefully on Dec. 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

  Nancy graduated from high school in San Manuel and went on to attend nursing school, where she earned both her associate and bachelor degrees in nursing. She was dedicated to caring for others and took great pride in her work.

  She loved spending time outdoors, going riding, and being with friends and family. Nancy was married to the love of her life Florencio “Lencho” Abril and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.

  Nancy is survived by her husband, Florencio (Lencho) Abril; her children, Harvey Gomez (Jessica Buelna) and Rachel Tovar (Paul Tovar); her sister, Terry Salaiz (Conrad Salaiz); five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

  She is preceded in death by her parents, Magdalena Chavez Barriga and Guadalupe Cisneros Barriga; her sister, Rebecca Johnson; and her niece, Christina Barriga.

  Services for Nancy will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Vistoso Funeral Home in Oro Valley.

  Nancy will be greatly missed and forever loved and cherished by those who knew her.
