With the season winding down, only one Copper Corridor team is looking for post season action. Superior is currently ranked #16 in 1A Girls Volleyball. That ranking can change depending on the outcome of the final week of the regular season.

  The four teams were busy this week.

Hayden Lady Lobos

  The Lady Lobos had two matches on the volleyball court this past week. The girls began their week traveling to Kearny to take on Ray. The girls battled on the court but fell short, losing the match 0-3, with set scores of 12-25, 19-25, and 15-25.

  The girls closed out their week with a home match against ASDB. The Lady Lobos were able to comeback from the previous days loss. The girls claimed a 3-0 match win. The girls will keep it light on the court this week, with one match at Duncan.

Ray Lady ‘Cats

  On Oct. 11, the Lady ‘Cats took on San Carlos. The girls suffered a 0-3 loss, with set scores of 11-25, 15-25, and 19-25.

  The girls started last week with a home match against Hayden, claiming the win 3-0, and set scores 25-12, 25-19, and 25-15.

  On Thursday the girls traveled to Superior. The girls suffered a 1-3 loss, with set scores 25-27, 21-25, 25-14, and 21-25.

  On Oct. 18, the Lady ‘Cats traveled to San Simon to compete in the 2nd Annual Longhorn Invitational. It was a tough time on the court for the girls, suffering losses against San Simon, Valley Union, and Animas.

  The Lady ‘Cats will finish up their regular season this week with matches against Fort Thomas and Valley Lutheran.

San Manuel Lady Miners

  The Lady Miners had a tough time on the court last week. The girls began their week with a home game against Fort Thomas. It was a tough match for the girls, who suffered a 0-3 loss, with set scores: 11-25, 22-25, and 5-25.

  The Lady Miners ended their week with another away match, this time against Cicero Prep. The girls once again struggled to find their rhythm, losing 0-3 with set scores of 8-25, 12-25, 14-25.

  The Lady Miners will host Superior this week.

Superior Lady Panthers

  The Lady Panthers volleyball team had two matches last week. The girls started with a home match against Cicero Prep. The Lady Panthers put up a fight, but fell short with a 0-3 final, and set scores of 11-25, 16-25, and 9-25.

  Closing out their week, the girls hosted Ray. The Lady Panthers were able to come together to claim the win over Ray, with a 3-1 final and set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 14-25, and 25-21.

  The Lady Panthers will finish their regular season this week with an away match at San Manuel. They will also host Duncan on Thursday with a 5 p.m. start.
