Modesto (Moe) Guillen Jr., 60, passed away on April 7, 2020 at his home in Tucson, Arizona.
Moe was born at San Manuel Hospital on Feb. 4, 1960 to Modesto and Dolores Guillen. He
attended First Avenue Elementary School and San Manuel High School and later received his Associate’s degree in Social Services.
He joined the United States Army with the 54th Engineer Battalion on Dec. 7, 1977. Following his military services, Moe’s employment expanded from various industries including Magma Copper Company, Behavioral Heath Services, and in construction. Modesto received certification in handling harmful chemicals (HAZMAT).
Moe’s favorite past time was his music and he loved family get togethers.
He leaves behind his siblings, Jesus (Elda) Guillen, Grace Guillen, Dolores (Benny) Silva and Javier (Olga) Guillen; his only child, Modesto Guillen III; his significant other, Cindy; and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Ruiz Guillen; his father, Modesto Guillen; his
sister, Celia LeBlanc; and a niece, Michelle Garcia.
Moe will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but will always be in their hearts.
Services are pending due to the current COVID-19 crisis, and will be published as soon as the family can do so. Moe will be interred at the Marana Veterans Cemetery.
