The San Manuel High School football team is gearing up for their 2024 season. Ernie Ivy resumes his role as head coach, with assistant coaches Bruce Decker, Kevin Waddell, Manny Laguna, and Mike Ochoa with Dominic Rodriguez as station. The team is sitting around 18 players.
“We are looking good for having a young team. We had quite a few coming out this summer that will help them in the season. I think we should do good this season. We just need to get our young line up to speed and our QB some experience,” commented Head Coach Ivy, “Our first game is on the 23rd, 7 p.m. at home, we hope to see people out and supporting the team.”
The Miners will take on Lincoln Prep for their first game. Their rest of the season is currently set to look like: Aug. 30 at Ray, Sept. 7 at Duncan, Sept. 13 vs Fort Thomas (home), Sept. 20 at Valley Union, Sept. 27 vs Cicero Prep Academy (home), Oct. 4 at St. David, Oct. 11 at Desert Heights Prep, and Oct. 18 vs Baboquivari (home). Be sure to come out and support the Miner football team!
