San Manuel Miners
The San Manuel wrestling team swept the Miami multi-meet, defeating Pima (40 – 36), Dobson (46 – 24), and Miami (48 – 28) on Thursday, Dec. 28.
Six Miners went 3 – 0 at the meet, including Gilbert Rodriguez (106), Julian Rodriguez (126), TJ Madrid (132), Ruben Hernandez (182), Adrian Romero (195), and Max Fisher (220).
The Miners were aided by the return of four injured wrestlers, according to head coach Manny Yubeta.
“(We) wrestled tough and aggressively throughout the night, setting the tone for the second half
of the season,” Yubeta said.
