Michael Ernest Nunez

  Michael Ernest Nunez, 81, peacefully passed in his sleep on Oct. 28, 2018. He is survived by his daughter Michelle; sons Mark and Gabriel; and granddaughter Jillian.

  Michael’s early education was completed in Superior before attending college courses at Eastern Arizona College as well as Arizona State University. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army.  He was employed as a professional Home Development Advisor throughout Arizona. His favorite pastimes include attending and watching baseball, basketball and football games. In earlier years, Michael played basketball in college and softball with company leagues.

  Michael created a very special and meaningful life. His personal and professional achievements have all been led by his desire to help and his compassion for family, friends and acquaintances. Michael enjoyed life to its fullest and was always first in line to show respect and honor for the beliefs and celebration of others.

  Services will be held at  St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 490 W. Main St. in Superior on Friday, Nov. 16, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will occur with military honors at Florence City Cemetery following Memorial Mass.
