With great sorrow we announce that Lupe Gracia (Zazueta), age 49 of San Manuel, AZ, passed away peacefully after a life long battle with diabetes at 12:04 a.m. on May 8, 2019 in the Oro Valley Hospital.
She was born in the small community of San Manuel to Miguel and Ernestina Zazueta, and was the youngest of eight children.
Most of her life, Lupe enjoyed caring for others. She pursued a career as a caregiver and always created genuine connections to each of her patients who she cared for deeply. she was the definition of a true survivor and as a single mother she provided all she could for all of her children and never complained one bit about the battle she was fighting with her illness. Each struggle she encountered, she faced head on, and never lost hope. She never let her illness get in the way of the things she enjoyed.
Left to honor Lupe and remember her love are Lupe’s two children, Bianca and Ralphie Gracia; five siblings, Mike Zazueta, Ernestina (Carlos) Cazares, Sergio Zazueta, Albertina (Poncho) Zazueta, and Daniel (Becky) Zazueta; and many nieces and nephews. Lupe was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Raul and Frank. Lupe will be remembered as a sweet, kind hearted, and loving person within the community she served.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St Bartholomew Catholic Church, 609 W. Park Pl., San Manuel, AZ 85631
