Linda Lou Teller

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Linda Lou Teller, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and unwavering light, on Sept. 5, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born in West Virginia on Feb. 2, 1943, to Robert and Iona Powell, Linda moved to San Manuel, Arizona as a teen where she met and married her high-school sweetheart, James (JD) Teller. The two made their home in Oracle, Arizona where they raised their family.

Linda was a well-known, smiling face of the Tri-Community, working as a service representative for the power company, eventually retiring with Southwest Gas in 1998. In 2016 she and JD relocated to Idaho to be closer to their son and 3 beautiful grandchildren who she loved more than anything else. The two remained married for over 56 years until JD’s passing in 2018.  Linda loved to sew, spend time with friends and family, and after retirement she and JD enjoyed relaxing time at their cabin in Show low and exploring the country in their RV.

Linda knew no stranger, since anyone who met her couldn’t help but be an instant friend.  She loved laughing, baking her infamous hot black coffee cake, playing with her dog “Sassy girl”, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband JD, her brother Bobby and her parents. She was survived by her son, Denny; three grandchildren, Rachael, James, and Danielle; and her sister, Trudy.

A private celebration of Linda’s life will be held with close family and friends.
