Larry ‘Cotton’ Don Clinton Sr.

Larry “Cotton” Don Clinton Sr. of San Manuel, AZ passed away on Dec. 26, 2025, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on Sept. 29, 1958, in San Manuel, Cotton lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and an unwavering willingness to help others. He was the kind of man who would drop whatever he was doing to show up for someone in need—no questions asked, no recognition expected. To know him was to know dependability, generosity, and a steady presence you could always count on.

Cotton worked as a heavy equipment operator, where he was known for his strong work ethic and integrity. After a long day’s work, he never hesitated to give more of himself to his family, friends, or anyone who needed a hand. He believed in doing right by people and finding humor in life, even in difficult moments.

He was a devoted husband/father/grandfather, whose love for his family was evident in everything he did. He took pride in being there—whether it was late-night phone calls, early-morning drives, or simply offering a laugh when it was needed most. His guidance, patience, and quiet strength shaped those around him in lasting ways.

Cotton is survived by his wife, Cheri Clinton; children, Larry Jr. (Ruby) and EJ (Bryanna); brother, Terry (Colleen); sisters, Vicki (Virgil) and Tonya (Steve). He was preceded in death by his father, Earl; mother, Wanda; brother, Earl Jr.; and his daughter, Heather.

A service to celebrate Cotton’s life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Rancho Vistoso Funeral Home with interment to follow at Valley View Cemetery in Mammoth.

Though he is deeply missed, his legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he taught by example, and the love he gave so freely. If we can be even half the person he was, we will have honored him well.
