“We really appreciate this kind of support at this time of the year,” Haberski said.
“In November and December people think about us. In July and August we are kind of off people’s radar. We thank the Knights for this very timely donation,” she added.
The Knights of Columbus Supreme office reimburses thousands of local Councils nationwide for part of their local donations, based on the pounds of food donated throughout the year.
Council 5542, which serves Mammoth, Oracle and San Manuel, has received the maximum reimbursement of $100 consistently and donates it to the local food bank according to Treasurer Jerry Bribiescas.
