
Juan Romero
Juan Castro Romero was born on Feb. 10, 1944, in Superior, AZ, to his mother, Petra Castro Daniel. He passed away March 4, 2025.
He was an exceptionally hard worker, dedicating many years to Magma Copper Mine #9 and to manufacturing at Intusis. Additionally, he worked for the Hings at the Save Money Market.
Juan had a special gift for connecting with people, enjoying conversations with anyone and everyone, regardless of age, and he made friends wherever he went. He had a deep love for sports, his family, and God.
In 2017, Juan moved to Globe, AZ, where he enjoyed the remainder of his life until he passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Angelita Huerta Romero, and their three children, Joseph Huerta Romero, Johnny Huerta Romero and Louise Huerta Romero, along with his son-in-law, Roland Miranda Sr. His grandchildren include Mercedes Angelina Romero, Roland Miranda Jr., Roland Cuba Miranda III, Juan Keke Romero, and Maya Mariah Miranda, as well as his great-granddaughter, Melody Miranda Champagne. Juan is also survived by his brothers, Eddie Joe Castro Romero and his wife Cindy and their children, Mary and James, and Raymond Castro Daniel and his wife, Martha, along with their children, Veronica, Victoria, and Yolanda, and their three grandchildren and much more family throughout.
Juan will be laid to rest in his hometown of Superior, AZ, at Fairview Cemetery on March 21, 2025. Services will be held at the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior, AZ. Visitation is at 9 a.m., Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at the Los Hermanos Ballroom in Superior, AZ.
