The San Manuel Junior High football team improved to 3 – 0 following its 60 – 16 victory against Ray Junior High last week. The Jr. Miners first two wins were against Miami – an 11-man team – and San Carlos.

Quarterback Isaiah Ramirez, running backs Mathias Medina and Ralphie Valencia, and tight ends Noah Casillas and Richard Ivy all scored touchdowns against the Jr. Bearcats.

“(We) need to continue working together as a team,” San Manuel head coach Freddy Burnham said. “We have multiple weapons on offense and we can attack from every position on the offensive side of the ball. We have a strong offensive line that does a great job.

“On defense, we are a fast and aggressive team that is led by our linebackers, Isaiah Ramirez, Mathias medina, and Aidan Lozoya,” he continued. “We play together well, and always have at least four players on every tackle. The defense has good field communication and is able to recognize were the play is going.”
