Joseph Pacheco

Joseph Pacheco, age 68, departed from the earth to eternally be with his Lord, Savior and Best Friend Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025.

Joseph was born to Richard (deceased) and Matilda “Tillie” (91) Pacheco December 1956 in Ray, Arizona.  He was employed by ASARCO in 1976 at the Hayden Smelter before he retired in 2020.  In 1982, he married his wife, Gail Pacheco, at the Copper Valley Christian Center in Kearny, Arizona.

Joseph enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, hunting, fishing, gourmet coffee, riding his Harley Davidson, spending quality time with his grandsons, praying for people, and sharing the Good News.

“Joe,” as he was known by many, had a heart for his fellow man.  His personality made him approachable, and his love of conversation made him an excellent person for people to confide in him the difficulties and joys of their lives.  He was blessed with shareable wisdom and in a heartbeat would pray for and comfort anyone.  He loved to pray with people.

Joseph spent the majority of his time taking every opportunity to go rock hunting with his grandsons and watch them play baseball. He greatly enjoyed coffee and was a regular to Dutch Bros. where he would order nitro cold brew always asking for the original can so he could have the pleasure of pouring it himself, over ice with a packet of stevia.

Coping with premature abandonment are his wife, Gail; sons, Joseph and Noah; daughter, Lacey; daughter, Jordan, and her husband, Chad, and their children, Caleb and Uriah; mother, Tillie; sister, Mary; and brothers, Richard and Donald.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Leo Terrell Hall, 107 Hammond Drive, Kearny Arizona, Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.  A sideshow of photographs from Joseph’s life will be shown at the service.  Please submit photographs of your own for inclusion via email to joespics2025@gmail.com before Wednesday, Jan. 29.
