Jillian Leonor Rabago

Jillian Leonor Rabago, age 36, passed away peacefully July 5, 2019. She was born July 23, 1982 in Mesa, Arizona to Isabel M. Mavis and Frank Rabago Jr.

After graduating from Dobson High in 2000, she went on to attend and graduate from Side Chair Dental Academy. After earning her degree Jillian continued to work as a dental assistant for the last 13 years. Even though she would have to dry patient’s mouths and sterilize dental equipment she genuinely loved her job. It allowed her to use her compassion to calm nervous or scared patients, her ability to be a good listener, and provided her with someone to talk to that couldn’t move for an hour.

Jillian would constantly dance like no one was watching (or recording), even though we all clearly were doing both. She loved listening to music, but above all singing music. Whether it was karaoke, a family gathering, in the car, an impromptu high note solo during “happy birthday,” if there was a chance, she would have an audience she would grasp that and take center stage every time. (even if the stage was her sister’s dining room)

Jillian had an immense love and spiritual connection with the town of Superior (not just because her family makes up a quarter of the population) but would often refer to it as God’s country.

She had no problem making friends at any time, with anyone. All it took was a conversation and that was it, you were in her phone, you were followed on social media, you were locked in. She was reaching out to you on your birthday, checking on you if she thought you needed someone, or just because she hadn’t heard from you in a while. She truly was a selfless, loving, caring woman with a heart of gold.

Jillian is predeceased by her grandparents Dora Rabago, Alfonso and Irene Coronado. She is survived by her son, Isaiah Christopher Everette; parents, Isabel and Gabriel Mavis, and Frank Jr. and Pamela Rabago; sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Rey Flores and Samantha and Josh Boettcher; brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Miranda Mavis; step-siblings, Salina, Monica and Cal Bryant; Tata Frank Rabago; nieces and nephews, Joseph, Armando, Isaac, Cash, Maddox, Danika, Zachary, Tyler, Peyton, Cal Jr, Conor, Shelby and Olivia.

She will be missed by all her family and friends.

Services for Ms. Rabago were held Tuesday, July 16, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
