Jessica Ochoa Cardenas
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of our beautiful daughter and mother, Jessica Ochoa Cardenas, 49, of Mesa, Arizona. She passed away on Dec. 25, 2025.
Jessica was born on Sept. 19, 1976, in Kearny, Arizona to Cruz “Boy” and Christina Cardenas of Superior, Arizona. Later the family relocated to Mesa, Arizona where Jessica attended Mesa public schools and graduated from Mesa High School.
She worked many years as an office assistant before settling down and having a daughter who she named Kassandra. Jessica didn’t have any other children but had many nieces and nephews and most recently was made a Nana to a beautiful baby boy names Elias, who she also loved.
Growing up, Jessica enjoyed hanging out by the pool with family and friends and her sisters, Jaqueline and Nancy, and their dog, Sadie. Jessica loved music – you could always catch her singing and dancing away to the sounds.
Jessica will be greatly missed by all of us, especially by those around her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in our hearts, but the battle is over, and Jessica can now be in peace.
She is survived by her parents, “Boy” and Christina; daughter, Kassandra; grandson, Elias; and her sister, Nancy. Jessica was preceded in death by her sister, Jaqueline. Jessica will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.
Services were held Jan. 3, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Superior. Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
