Hayden remains at the top of the 1A rankings following yet another win Friday, this time their own Homecoming game. Ray and Superior, too, claimed wins under the Friday Night Lights.

The Hayden football team held its homecoming last Friday against Baboquivari. The Lobos once again showed up ready to play.

Hayden showed their strong defense by holding off Baboquivari from finding the end-zone. The Lobos came out on top with a final score of 44-0.

The boys will travel to take on Cicero Prep on Friday, Oct. 11, with a kickoff time of 7 p.m.

Superior Panthers

The Superior football team traveled to Cicero Prep last Friday. The boys played tough and it was a nail-biter of a game. The final score of the game was a close 22-20 with a Panther victory!

The boys will host the Ray Bearcats on Friday, Oct. 11, with a kickoff time of 7 p.m. This is the annual Copper Helmet game.

Ray Bearcats

The Ray football team traveled to take on the Duncan Wildkats under the Friday Night Lights. The Bearcats were coming in off of a two-win streak, against Baboquivari and Fort Thomas. The boys played a tough game, only giving up 20 points. The night ended with another Bearcat win, and a final score of 40-20, continuing their winning streak.

The boys will travel to Superior on Friday, Oct. 11, with a kickoff time set for 7 p.m. Ray will defend their possession of the Copper Helmet.

San Manuel Miners

The San Manuel football team took a hard loss last Friday night. The boys traveled to St. David where they were shut completely out. The game had a final score of 0-49.

The boys will travel to take on Desert Heights Prep on Friday, Oct. 11.
