  The Hayden Public Library, with assistance from AZYP and the Hayden Fire Department, hosted a Color Run to kick off their summer reading program “Color Our World.” Participants were blasted with colorful chalk powder, showering each runner with rainbow fun.

  To continue with the fun of their summer reading program, the library has planned a myriad of fun events over the next few weeks.

  Storytime is every Monday 11 a.m. to noon with a special bubble activity on June 23. On Friday, June 13, there will be a STEAM activity DIY fiberoptic peacock lamps 11 a.m. to noon. On Thursday, June 19, 1-3 p.m. is Hack That Painting and on Friday, June 20, noon to 1 p.m., come make friendship bracelets on the rainbow loom. There will be a cooking class on Wednesday, June 25, 4:30-5:30 p.m. and come make 4th of July wreaths on Thursday, June 26, 1-3 p.m. Pinal County Parks will be at the library on Friday, June 27, noon to 1 p.m. to talk about desert tortoises.
