  Two Hayden High School students and teacher had the opportunity to attend the annual Torch of Liberty Award ceremony that was held to recognize and reward those who are doing the most good for our communities. 

  Hayden High School alumnus and Anti-Defamation League Regional Director, Carlos Galindo-Elvira invited students to participate in this prestigious event. Hayden High Senior Carol Monroy had the privilege in leading The Pledge of Allegiance.  Ariana Pacheco and Mrs. Laura E. Lopez were also in attendance as they heard compelling stories of leadership and courage in the fight against hate. 

  Hayden High School is recognized as a No Place for Hate High School. It received this recognition by completing a series of activities at school that encourages acceptance of everyone and promotes nondiscrimination practices and policies. In addition, Hayden High School students have taken a pledge to become one of Arizona’s No Place for Hate High Schools. #NoPlaceforHate
