Guadalupe “Lupe” Arbizo
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Arbizo, lovingly known as “Lupe”. She passed away peacefully at the age of 78, surrounded by family on Sept. 3, 2025, in Mesa, AZ.
Born in Esqueda, Mexico on June 7, 1947, Lupe moved to Winkelman, AZ in her youth where she and her husband Ramon raised three children, Sonia (Paul) Campos, Carlos (deceased), and Leti (Anthony) Amado. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Carlos, Lizette, Anthony, Cristian, Briella and Gabriel, as well as her brother Santiago (Tina) Fuentes.
She devoted her life to staying home to raise her kids as her faith in God and her family were the most important things to her. Lupe’s presence was felt deeply by everyone who knew her. She was known for her tough yet loving nature, her honesty, and her sharp sense of humor. Whether she was shopping, enjoying a burger from In-N-Out, or trying her luck at the casino, she had a way of making every little moment special. Above all, she loved her family dearly, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Lupe will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with her son Carlos.
We invite all family and friends to join us in celebrating the life of Lupe. Her legacy of love, strength, and laughter will forever remain in our hearts.
Services were held Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hayden. Interment followed at Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden.
