The Town of Kearny and Norm’s IGA hosted a Gingerbread House Decorating Competition for the area youth. Between Dec. 9 and 20, youth had the opportunity to decorate their own gingerbread houses for the community to vote on their favorites.
This year there were six entries into the competition. Each entry unexpectedly won a prize! The winning Gingerbread houses were awarded as followed:
- Montana Grigsby “Best Overall Appearance” in the family category
- aLiam Keeney “Best Design in Construction” in the kid category
- Keoni Martinez “Most Creative” in the kid category
- Tanya Barton “Best Overall Appearance” in the adult category
- Isabella and Michelle Free “Best Design Construction” in the family category
- Tully Foster “Most Creative” in the tween and teens category
Tully Foster’s gingerbread house also won the People’s Choice award.
A big thank you to the Town of Kearny and Norms IGA for allowing these kids to participate in such an adorable (and delicious) event!
