Gilbert A. Navarro
Gilbert A. Navarro passed away on Dec. 17, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona, just one week prior to his 74th birthday.
Born on Dec. 24, 1951, in Superior, Arizona, Gilbert spent his life rooted in the state he called home. Gilbert lived in San Manuel, Arizona and worked for Magma Copper Company, later BHP Copper for over 25 years before transitioning to a position with CoreCivic Correctional, eventually retiring to his hometown of Superior.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Diana, and a proud father to his five children: daughters Kelly, Kim Passaglia (Nick), Karly Kinner (Richard), Desi (Amanda) and son Gilbert. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Kylar, Athena, Lily, Ethan, Sonny, and Poppy—who brought him great joy. Gilbert is also remembered by his sister Rosalie Padilla (Navarro).
He was preceded in death by his father Gilbert O. Navarro, mother Lupe Navarro (Castanon), and sister Carol Ruiz (Navarro).
A man whose presence left a lasting impression on those around him, Gilbert’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
Services for Mr. Navarro were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Superior.
