The Copper Corridor Economic Development Coalition is working with the United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development to help local residents apply for Section 504 Single Family Housing Repair Loan and Grant program. The 504 program provides loans to very-low income homeowners to repair, improve or modernize their homes or grants to elderly very-low income homeowners to remove health and safety hazards.
These funds are available to low income residents who are 62 years of age and over. Jim Schenck a contractor with the CCEDC is available to meet with local residents to see if they qualify for the program. There are both grants and low interest loans available to residents of the Copper Corridor. Amounts of the loans and grants can vary from $1,000 to $7,500 depending on the loan qualification. Grants are only available to those homeowners who are 62 years of age and older. The CCEDC serves the residents and communities of Eastern Pinal and Southern Gila County including Aravaipa, Dudleyville, Hayden, Kearny, Mammoth, Oracle San Manuel, Superior, Winkelman and all unincorporated areas of the Copper Corridor region.
