
Eva Rose Rivera
Eva Rose Rivera, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Hayden, Arizona on Jan. 19, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born in Mammoth, Arizona on Nov. 6, 1937, to Eva Buzan Kerlock and Joseph Jacob Kerlock.
Eva dedicated her life to her family. Eva and her husband Manuel, of 57 years, married and raised their four children.
Eva was known for her unwavering love, boundless generosity, and undeniable strength. She had a passion for creating a loving environment where everyone was always welcome, which brought joy to her life and those around her. Her words of wisdom, encouragement, and tough love inspired many and will continue to leave a lasting legacy.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Rivera; son, Arthur “Peewee” Rivera; brother, Joseph Kerlock; sisters, Annabelle Cobo and Mary Villegas; daughter-in-law, Monica Rivera; granddaughter, Adriana Cruz; great-grandon, Abel Rivera; and many other loved ones. She is survived by her son, Manuel “Dennis” (Rose) Rivera of Dudleyville; daughter, Anna Cruz of Hayden; and son Paul Rivera of Hayden; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Eva’s life was held on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, the San Pedro Valley Baptist Church in Dudleyville.
Eva will be deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
