  Edward Junior “Buddy” West,90, resident of Oracle, passed away due to natural causes on Oct. 9, 2025. He was born in Deadwood, South Dakota on July 21, 1935, to Lester Edward West and Vera Forbenia West.
Buddy is preceded in death by his parents Lester Edward and Vera Forbenia West of South Dakota.
He is survived by his sister, Rose; sons, Michael (Ruth) and Nelson West; and seven grandchildren.

  Buddy worked for Magma Copper Co. for nearly 30 years as an electrician and supervisor in the locomotive shop underground on the 2375 level. He also served in the military.

  A memorial service and celebration of life for Edward Junior West will be held at Living Word Chapel, 3941 W. Highway 77 in Oracle, on Nov. 1 at 11 a.m.
