San Manuel’s volleyball team made the bus trip north to Ray High School to take on the Lady Bearcats and while the Lady ‘Cats had the home court advantage, the Lady Miners made them work for their ultimate win.

The overall match score was 3-1 in Ray’s favor, with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 20-25 and 25-14.

The Lady ‘Cats took on Hayden Tuesday and will face Superior on Oct. 17 at home with a start time of 5 p.m.

The Lady Miners closed out their week with a home match against Duncan. It was another tough loss for the Lady Miners with a final 0-3 score and set scores of 24-26, 12-25 and 17-25.

San Manuel will travel to Fort Thomas this week, and host Cicero Prep on Thursday, Oct. 17, with a start time of 5 p.m.

Superior Lady Panthers

The Superior volleyball team were busy on the court last week. Their week began with an away game against Fort Thomas. It turned out to be a tough evening for the Lady Panthers, who had a close loss of 0-3 with set scores of 20-25, 17-25, and 20-25.

The girls closed out their week on a high note with a 3-1 victory over Valley Lutheran at home. The set scores were 23-25, 25-20, 25-15 and 25-23.

The Lady Panthers will take on Cicero Prep, Ray and Patagonia Union this week.

Hayden Lady Lobos

It was a tough time on the court last week for the Hayden volleyball team. The girls started the week traveling to take on Valley Lutheran. It was a tough 0-3 loss with set scores of 17-25, 11-25 and 19-25.

The girls ended their week with an away game at Cicero Prep, which ended in another tough 0-3 loss, and set scores 9-25, 7-25 and 5-25.

The Lady Lobos will take on Ray and ASDB this week.
