We are happy to announce that our 1st Saturdays have been successful. Dec. 6, we collaborated with the Town of Kearny’s Winter Wonderland. Thank you to all who helped and attended! The only issue or concern we do have is the lack of volunteerism. A small group of people cannot easily accomplish the work meant for an entire crew. We have moved our 1st Saturday in January due to it being too close to the holiday season. The January event will be held on Jan. 10. There will be 1st Saturdays in February and continue through March of 2026. April 16 through 19 is the date set for our Annual Pioneer Days. The event will be at Pioneer Park in Kearny.
Our membership is continuing to rise. Our board of directors are continuing to improve on our benefits and organization. Please note that multiple membership levels are available. You can own a business or join as an individual contact us at info@copperbasinaz.org. Our website isn’t completely functional.
Our Junior Chamber Program is in place and starting to flourish. The funding comes from donations made by businesses and individuals. This program focuses on issues such as “how revenue comes to town,” they are encouraged to job shadow businesses to encourage continued education and so much more. They also have opportunity to volunteer and best yet they can apply for a scholarship at the end of the year.
Our next goals are to create promotional materials that highlight our Copper Basin Area, aiming to attract visitors and inspire people to move here—either to live or to start and grow their businesses in our lively area.
We want to encourage folks to be involved with “Love where you live” by participating in events, attending town council meetings and being a volunteer.
